Return of H1N1 cases anticipated

The H1N1 virus, more commonly referred to as “Swine Flu, may return in coming months with a vengeance. But despite public rumors, there have been no reported cases of H1N1 flu at South yet this year.

As a precaution, H1N1 vaccine has been ordered and, according to Head Nurse Gail Kramer, should arrive between mid and late October.

South plans to hold H1N1 vaccine clinics in addition to providing seasonal flu shots as a preventative measure.

“Both shots can be taken at the same time, Kramer said.
