Our intentions aren’t to make you guys aggravated or for you to draw on us with Sharpies while being passed out at a party: shoes on or off. One of the View from the Top articles I read last year made me wish to participate in Senior Assassin at the time, minus the rules. All we share are some facts and good thoughts.

We want all of you to know that being a senior is probably the best year of high school.

We are living the life of Bob Marley’s lyrics.

To the Class of ‘Ëœ09, don’t forget: “In this bright future, you can’t forget your past.

To the classes below us: time flies. Spend it wisely.

We need to let you know how terrible it is to realize that you could’ve done much better in school and to find out that your GPA sucks.

You can still be the life of the party, and at the same time do what you gotta do! Last Wednesday, for instance, I danced in the forest while listening to trance music out of my MP3 player with two headphone jacks (love you Tessa).

Getting a B on a sheet of paper is easy to do and worth getting.

We found out late, so we’re letting you know early. The tiniest bit of effort gets you very far.

Some advice: go with the flow.

The bad can be forgotten if you focus on the good. Your interests and desires come first.

Walk with confidence but not cockiness. RESPECT is key.

Watch your back and know who your true friends are. You don’t realize this, but if you stab your friend in the back, your life will become a living hell. In some cases it could get so bad that you would want to leave the state. (Shaylyn, I got your back).

Also, remember that there will always be people you won’t get along with for one reason or another. Don’t bring your issues to a party and ruin the mood for others.

As a senior, you will finally come to the realization that life is much better when you stay open-minded.

Anyone would feel more comfortable walking into the cafeteria and knowing that any seat is available. One learns more from different perspectives rather than limiting oneself to all of the same interests.

Life is boring when you are closed-minded. “I just hate to be in one corner. I hate to be put as only a guitar player, or either only as a songwriter, or only as a tap dancer. I like to move around. –Jimi Hendrix.

In general, stay true to your friends because everyone needs somebody to hold his hair back.
Value every second, because the clock is always ticking.

Don’t dwell on your mistakes, and rather learn from them. The past will have its problems, but the future is like an unwritten memoir. “Excuse me, while I kiss the sky.
