Money is on everyone's mind; there's really no way around it in our day and age'€and the student population is no exception to this maxim. Finance has always been an issue for student organizations and clubs; after all, they need money to function, and often they need a great deal of it. Club merchandise, events and competitions to raise awareness or showcase talents, and donations to charitable organizations all require funding. Unfortunately, while raising these funds is a top priority for the students who need them, not everyone senses this necessity.

Ben Seifer, Seif Says: Family matters

By Ben Seifer | Published: December 2008
“My boobala! It's so great to see you. My god, look how much my little nephew has grown. Is that a beard? Adele, look at Benjamin's little beard. After a long, arduous week of school, this, this is what I came home to: two grandparents, an aunt, uncle, three cousins, and two yapping dogs. When all I wanted was to catch my breath and go out, I found myself in the midst of a family event. Had that Friday's school day been one minute longer, or had I been a weaker man, I would have thrown myself out of a third floor window, without question. Instead, I threw on a smile, got hugged and kissed way too many times, and even talked about where I am applying to college. Why the change of heart? Because I had looked at my smiling mom and realized I couldn't let her down.

Mumbai is the city that never sleeps. Its air is always filled with the intoxicating aroma of warmth, of life. Everywhere you go, there are people. Cars, motorcycles, bicycles, auto rickshaws, and pedestrians swarm the pot-holed streets crowding and jostling: all in a rush to reach some desired destination. The humidity clings to the skin and creates a thin layer of glistening sweat. The sounds of car horns and traveling salesmen can be heard at all times. The wealth and the boundless fortunes of the rich juxtapose, quite literally, the stench and poverty that characterizes more than half of Mumbai's inhabitants. “Mumbai meri jaan, or “Mumbai is my life.

DCOMS losing meaning

There is definitely something about Disney Channel original movies that attracts kids and teens alike, despite their low budget productions.
