Unnecessary roughness

Real football involves dozens of pads, big hits, and concussions. Traditionally, football is a male sport. That changed when the powderpuff tradition came to pass. Once a year, junior and senior girls face off against one another in a game of flag football.
The title is a reference to girls who applied their makeup (with a powder puff and small mirror) in public. We’ve come a long way since then, but the name has stuck.Now comes the big question: is the name degrading to girls? Does the name somehow make girls weaker? Honestly, it might, but it really doesn’t matter. Girls may be physically weaker. They can’t do everything guys can do, and they can’t necessarily do it better. Powderpuff may be a ‚Äúdelicate name, but girls are, realistically, more delicate than guys. They can’t run as fast, lift the same number of weights, or take the same hits in the case of football.
There’s a reason they’re playing flag and not tackle football. If anything, the name is cute. It’s a throwback to the days of poodle skirts and side ponytails.
